MANUAL OF PROCEDURES

The EIC is based on fixed length alphanumeric codes which can be broken down as follows:

> A 2-character number that identifies the Local Issuing Office (LIO identification). This number is assigned by ENTSO-E. The LIO ID of ENTSOG is 21.
> One Character identifying the object type that the code represents (see further X, Y, Z, W, T and V types).
> 12 digits, uppercase characters or minus signs allocated by the issuing office
> 1 control character to check the code validity.
