ENTSOG opens public stakeholder consultation on its draft Annual Work Programme (AWP) 2027

(Brussels, 13 July, PR0371-26) Today, ENTSOG launches a public consultation on its Annual Work Programme 2027 until 7 September 2026 and is inviting stakeholders to contribute to defining the right priorities and to identify the most relevant projects for 2027.

Piotr Kuś, ENTSOG General Director, said, “ENTSOG’s work in 2027 will focus on supporting a European gas network that enables secure gas flow, data transparency and is ready for an increasingly integrated energy system. Our draft Annual Work Programme 2027 reflects both ENTSOG’s core regulatory tasks and the evolving priorities emerging from, for example, relevant European energy fora.”

He also commented, “Looking forward, ENTSOG will undertake additional work coming from the revision of TEN-E Regulation, the expected revision of the Security of Supply Regulation, and the forthcoming CO₂ Markets and Transport Package. Alongside these tasks, ENTSOG will continue cooperation with involved stakeholders to ensure integrated infrastructure planning and adequacy assessment. We look forward to stakeholder feedback on this draft programme, to ensure that ENTSOG’s 2027 priorities remain relevant, and practical.”

The draft AWP 2027 document and the consultation feedback questions are available on the ENTSOG website, here.

Editorial notes:

The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) was founded in 2009 and has played a key role in facilitating integration of the European gas markets, ensuring technical interoperability and providing security of supply by gas infrastructure planning. Within the scope of Regulation (EU) 2024/1789 and other relevant legislation, ENTSOG is contributing to the net-zero decarbonisation by 2050 by the integration of renewable and low carbon gases via future-proof gas transmission pipelines, in line with the EU energy and climate goals.
