Established by the Third Energy Package in 2009, ENTSOG has enabled the efficient management and coordinated operation of the European gas network. Additionally, it has facilitated the European network's sound technical evolution. Since Regulation (EU) 2024/1789 entered into force in August 2024, ENTSOG now has new tasks in place, including technical cooperation and infrastructure planning with Hydrogen Network Operators.  

This conference will address the need to enable a robust and competitively priced energy delivery, the necessity of grids’ readiness for renewable and low carbon gases and how repurposing the infrastructure can accelerate decarbonisation and be cost-effective. It will consider the recent policies of EU-wide 2040 climate target and the Industrial Carbon Management strategy.
