Dear Stakeholder,
ENTSOG and ENNOH invite you to a workshop on De-risking investment in hydrogen infrastructure.
The workshop will take place on 4 March, from 10:00 to 15:30, at the ENTSOG & ENNOH premises, located at Avenue de Cortenbergh 100, ground floor, 1000 Brussels.
Building on the conclusions of the Copenhagen Infrastructure Forum of 3 June 2025 and the outcomes of a closed-door ENNOH–ENTSOG workshop held in November and with the support of the Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure, we are pleased to invite you to take part in this public hybrid workshop.
Securing capital continues to represent a key challenge for hydrogen infrastructure and project promoters, particularly during the transition towards the full implementation of the Hydrogen and Gas Decarbonisation Package. In response, ENNOH, ENTSOG and stakeholders have been exploring possible de-risking mechanisms, with a view to informing future policy discussions at EU level.
This workshop will provide an open forum for exchange, allowing a broad range of stakeholders to discuss preliminary findings and emerging ideas, explore possible financial and banking solutions – including the role of a potential EU guarantee mechanism – and contribute perspectives on how to accelerate investment in hydrogen infrastructure across Europe.
In addition to insight from ENTSOG/ENNOH draft report on de-risking options, we will hold discussions about national developments and stakeholders' views. The agenda will follow soon.
Discussions will take place under Chatham House Rules, to encourage open and constructive dialogue.
In case of questions, please contact ennoh@ennoh.eu or info@entsog.eu.
We look forward to your participation and to continuing the collective effort to advance the European hydrogen economy and decarbonisation!
