Areti graduated from the Law School of Athens in 2011, during which time she had been member of the Board of the European Law Students Association of Greece.
She specialised in energy law in the Law Faculty of Robert Schuman University of Strasbourg in 2013. The same year she got accepted to the Athens Bar Association and worked for a law firm focused on the energy sector, and independently.Since 2014 she had been working for the legal department of the Greek NRA (‘’RAE’’) supporting several of its missions granted by the Third Energy package, such as decisions for regulatory acts and sanctions and advisory missions to the energy ministry for drafting national legislation in the gas sector. She has also been in charge of litigation cases in front of the highest national administrative courts for both electricity and gas sectors.
Since November 2015 Areti had been working for the legal department of GRTgaz in charge of European regulatory and international affairs, contributing to the implementation of Network Codes, working on security of gas supply projects and in the cooperation with adjacent TSOs. She has also been drafting contracts and assuring regulatory compliance of GRTgaz in the development of investment and services projects and has been participating in the legal team of ENTSOG as a representative of the legal direction of GRTgaz since June 2016.
Areti joined ENTSOG in August 2017 as a Legal Adviser providing in house legal support on ENTSOG’s missions under the European regulatory framework and co-chairs ENTSOG’s Legal Advisory Group.
