Dear Sir or Madam,
The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) has organised its BAL NC Road Show for stakeholders in Central and Eastern European countries on Wednesday, April 18th, 10:30-16:00, in Vienna, Austria.
ENTSOG has been preparing the work on the BAL NC since early-November, 2011, holding a number of stakeholder joint working sessions (SJWSs) in Brussels. The objective of the SJWSs has been to consult with and solicit views from stakeholders on the topics to be treated within the BAL NC. The feedback received is being used in the development of ENTSOG’s first draft of the BAL NC for which a public consultation will be launched on April 13th. For additional background information, please visit the ENTSOG Balancing webpage.
The Road Show was aimed at informing stakeholders (network users, TSOs, regulators, national policy makers, etc.) in CEECs, many of whom were unable to participate in the SJWS process in-person or via the live webcasting available. The event provided an opportunity for ENTSOG to explain the thinking behind and the expected implementation of the BAL NC as drafted for consultation. It is also a time for stakeholders to raise questions and seek clarifications about the draft code and the ENTSOG-led process in advance of responding formally to the consultation.
The Road Show agenda included the following themes:
- the Balancing Target Model (BTM);
- an overview of key topics within the draft BAL NC;
- the interim measures included in the BAL NC to facilitate the transition to the BTM.
The Road Show was held in the office premises of Gas Connect Austria, an ENTSOG member:
