Joint Workshop ENTSOG and Energy Community on Network Code on Interoperability and Data Exchange Rules and Early Warning System

Dear Sir or Madam,

We would like to invite you to a joint Workshop between the Energy Community and ENTSOG on the Network Code for Interoperability and Data Exchange Rules and Early Warning System, which takes place at the Energy Community Secretariat premises in Vienna on 18 June 2015 starting at 10:30.

The Network Code on Interoperability and Data Exchange Rules has been recently adopted by the European Commission (find it here) as the fourth gas code following the adoption of the Third Energy Package. The Network Codes are legally binding documents for TSOs from the EU Member States. On the other hand, only Directive 2009/73/EC and Regulation (EC) 715/2009 have to be implemented by the Contracting Parties to the Energy Community whereas Network Codes have to be imposed by further decision of the Permanent High Level Group.  

The Early Warning System has been developed by ENTSOG as a TSO communication forum in crisis situations. Joining the Early Warning System is voluntary and open for all TSOs from EU and non-EU countries.

Although very different in regards to the scope and mandate of implementation, both topics have a common denominator - cross border cooperation of transmission system operators - which can be spread over the EU borders, as predefined by technical and gas flow conditions.
Thus, ENTSOG and the Energy Community Secretariat launched a joint workshop to bring together TSOs from neighbouring countries- from the EU Member States and the Energy Community Contracting Parties and Observers.
The representatives of the Regulatory Authorities from the Contracting Parties and Observers are also invited.
